We enjoyed our first 'free' weekend. No buying things; no looking at apartments; no taking Albie to the vets.
Two days of doing what we wanted!

Waking up to blue skies, we decided to go for a walk.
On our previous holidays out here, people often suggest a route to do but the holiday always came to an end before we managed to walk it.
Their recommendation, the 'Spit Bridge to Manly' route, is a 10km walk following a section of the coast.
Beginning at the Spit Bridge which is just on the edge of the parameter of the suburb of Mosman (home!), the walk ends in Manly. As the route winds along the coastline, it consists of only a small amount of tarmac; mostly winding paths through wooded areas, bushland, and across some small beaches. A great feature of the walk is steps though. Oh, so many steps. But the views are worth it!

We extended it and walked from home which added on an extra twenty minutes. Walling down the hill to the Spit Bridge, we
pinched ourselves yet again on being so lucky with the location of our apartment.

It was a 'fresh' day compared to recent temperatures, but that was perfect for walking.
At one point we could just see downtown Sydney in the far distance:
Certain views called to just stand and stare (and catch our breath...!)
It still felt very strange to have turquoise waters not on some tropical island, but at home.
Not bad for a 'city walk'...!
We arrived at Manly two and a quarter hours later, had lunch on the beach and then caught the bus home.
The challenge is now on to complete is quicker...and walk the return...
