Abandoned!

Hello!
Picture
R has finally allowed me to post!
I bet you were wondering if I was OK?
All that endlessly wittering on about their holiday.
I didn't have a holiday.
I know!
Awful!
Although I don't think I would have like it in the land of the dogs, I imagine the whole place is over-run with those pesky Newfoundlands and Labradors.
T's alarm went off at 5.15am on the Thursday. I wasn't too worried, as it often does this and me and R stay in bed whilst he gets up.
This time however, R got up.
I thought she was just going to the bathroom, but turned right at the bathroom door, and went through to the kitchen!
This I couldn't ignore - she might be preparing food!
I followed her, blinking as she turned the lights on. Knowing something strange was up, I stuck by her side as she put the kettle on, and then went to the bathroom and messed around with that paint-stuff on her face.
I got my breakfast at 6am!! Two hours early!
I was so surprised at this, I hadn't even had a chance to miaow and demand it!
But then R and T gathered their suitcases, hugged me, and then clattered downstairs, and the apartment was in silence.

"You can't make me get in...Oh, wait, you're not going to make me get in?!"
With a full stomach, I caught up on my sleep, had a sniff on the kitchen work surfaces to see if they had left any crumbs, and then waited for them to return later that day.
They didn't return however.

"If alone, one must sleep."
Uncle C was my saviour, coming in to feed me and throw a ball/ stuffed mouse  around for a few minutes a day.
It was a relief not to be back at the vets to be honest. Although I did get more attention, I was always on high alert just in case they decided they felt like sticking a needle into me.
So at least being at home meant I could chill out.
Which I did.
A lot.
I bought my towel from the bathroom through to in front of the TV, ready to watch it.
But then couldn't turn the TV on.
I will learn to do it...

I had all my toys to play with...

"Think I'll have that one..."
...and could have a proper wash...

"Got to keep clean!"
...and had warm places to sit...

"Ooh I do love having toasty paws!"
I was so pleased to see R and T when they returned on Sunday evening though!
I kept jumping on them throughout the night to make sure they were really home, and to say hello. They said something back, but I don't think it was, 'Hello'...
They did however make up for their absence, as the following week they were both at home a lot. They were obviously traumatized after being away from me for those four days; it's understandable.
Not only did they not step foot outside the house, but they were both sat on the sofa most of the time too!
A great warm spot for me!
However it could have been more restful, as they selfishly kept coughing and sneezing and sniffling, which interrupted my sleep...
Talking of which, I feel the need for some shuteye...
...Hang on just a minute!
Uh Oh!
The suitcases are back out...
