R is still cooped up in the spare room, papers lying about all over the room (not fair - I get told off when I put paper all over the place), staring into that weird machine (I do like to sit on the said machine though, as it's a heated sleeping place!)
So, I have been put back to work.
I'm a cat - therefore my day is supposed to consist of sleep and eating, sleeping some more, playing, eating...oh, and did I mention sleeping?
No such luck in this house...
The real problem with the cooler days - and one which I will complain about to anyone I can find - is that they seem to be bringing with them alot of wet stuff. That, I do not like.
There is just no need for it!
I was so proud of myself the other day!
I caught a dragonfly! Bright blue, it was!
As luck would have it, R came home just when I had made the winning leap with open mouth, so I was able to show my prize to her. I ran up the fire escape after her, trying to tell her what a super-duper clever cat I was, but it was a bit tricky to call with something in my mouth. I couldn't open my mouth to miaow properly, otherwise I would have dropped the dragonfly; and that would have been a disaster! So, I made some weird noise instead. It had the desired effect though, as R, hearing this strange noise and assuming I was in pain stopped at the top of the stairs and waited for me.
She didn't appear to be as excited as I thought she would be though.
In fact, when I tried to take my prized catch into the house, for some reason, she shut the door on me!!
That was just mean!
You just cannot get the humans these days!
Bye, for now!
