Whilst unpacking and delicately placing (i.e. shoving) clothes into the wardrobe and chests of drawer - and then breaking off to assemble more shelving for inside the wardrobes (something which T later went around hammering so the joints were flush - yes I saw you T...!) - I could remember where I had bought the majority of the items.
In my wardrobe:
River Island = UK
River Island = UK
It appears as though I have had a favourite shop in each country, and then when we move I go excitingly into that shop in the new country, and be disappointed with what they stock. I then, after putting the whole clothes shopping thing off until I really need to get something, go around and try different makes until I come across another make to call upon as my old faithful. This takes time, especially as I am not that into shopping in new shops - I like to go where I know the style of clothes is to my liking, and that the sizes fit me. Walking around venturing into each and every shop which sells clothes is not my ideal way of spending my day - it's very tiring.
Esprit = Germany
Puma = Sportswear Germany
Zara = Spain
French Connection = Canada (which is ironic seeing as though it is UK-based, and I never really liked the stuff when in England...)
Abercrombie & Fitch = America (never lived there, but holidayed there, and just happened to always find a store where we were staying...)
Here, I haven't had chance to get an old faithful yet. I have fallen for a sportswear store, which is...Canadian! I saw people wearing the stuff all the time at the gym in Montreal, but I never once went into the store. (Yes - I am kicking myself.)
But something out here I did discover, (yes, after all those moves I find the simple way out now) was if you go into one of the major department stores, there are many makes all under one roof! (OK, I knew this before, but it only just dawned on me this was a great way to find which makes I like, quickly) Result! Needing work clothes, but no idea where to start with it, I - we, I dragged poor T along - went into one of the department stores, David Jones, and not only did they have loads of makes to try, but also the sales assistants were really helpful in suggesting other makes that were similar to the ones I was liking, not at all in a pushy way.
Now, what to wear...
* I haven't many random clothes photos, hence the selection of photos on this post - besides, I thought you would probably find them a little more interesting than ones of dresses or shirts...
