Whilst overcoming jet lag, unpacking, together with all the other chores and jobs resulting from a holiday, here are a few photos of the past week whilst I try to get my brain into gear and put words onto screen to tell you about it.
Currently waking up well before 6am, it did cross our minds this morning if only it worked that way around when we were in England - we spent the whole seven nights struggling to get up, our bodies complaining that it was 3am Montreal time, and yet back in Montreal we seem to have suddenly switched to UK time and are waking up before 6am....

We are not wasting this early rising though - we went for a walk at 7.30am, setting off whilst still pretty dark, walking along our favourite circular route around Mont Royal. The place was virtually deserted, save for a few road gritters.
I like this early start malarky!

But back to our jam-packed seven days in England.
We caught up with friends and family...
Went for walks in the countryside...
On a crisp and sunny Christmas Day morning:
...and then on Boxing Day in-between showers:
We celebrated Christmas with family...
...eating, drinking, eating some more, and opening presents.
All too soon it was time to get back on a plane and fly back to Montreal...
...and return to our Canadian life in the world of snow.
