- I am pleased to report a happy ending to my last post. We heard something rattling the cage up in the loft space on Tuesday night, and the following day we found a mum and baby possum in the cage (seems they had finally succumbed to the temptation of the apple!). They were let out in the garden - hopefully they will stay out of the loft...!
- The other big news is that the scaffolding and painters have finally gone! No more scaffolding guys outside the kitchen window as I'm pulling faces making lamb burgers and having to handle raw minced lamb (I hate handling raw meat.) - I am now free to wrinkle my nose in private...
- We picked our first snow peas the other day! One pod each - hardly a full meal, but it tasted so good! So different to shop bought. I am going to have to try very hard to not scoff them all myself and remember to share them with T...
- The clocks went forward last Sunday. We nearly put them back, as that's what usually happens in October, and it was a little disappointing realizing we were not going to get an extra hour in bed. We are still struggling to get up in the mornings, but it does help when you have this to get up for:
- It was a Bank Holiday here on Monday, but we are sticking to the Canadian ones - easier for T's work. Plus, it means everywhere will be quieter when we take our Bank Holiday! We don't have to wait long, as Canadian Thanksgiving is on Monday. I feel a road trip coming on...
