We walked down to Darling Harbour - city-side of the bridge - and back on Saturday. It was 24 km in total: about 20 km longer than my legs really wanted to walk. Along the way we uncovered some hidden gems to be explored in greater detail another day.
We paid a visit to the local bike shop to buy a new seat for my bike (my old faithful saddle mysteriously disappeared in the move - T... ). They fitted one on my bike for me to try for a week. Asking me to sit on the bike to check the seat was the correct height, the guy then asked how comfy I found the seat. My reply was a hesitant, "OK..." He looked at me, dressed in gym gear, "Well your'e not wearing any nics - do you usually wear nics when you cycle?" I stared at him in disbelief, not quiet sure how to respond to his question, which was a little personal, I thought. And I was wearing underwear, thankyou very much! "Nics, lycra nics - for when you cycle?" Oh. He meant padded lycra cycling shorts. Ahh...
We cycled for 20 mins around the neighbourhood (I was wearing nics by this stage in the day) and am pleased to report that so far, so good with the comfort of the saddle.
Albie's obsession with the bathroom sink has intensified due to the dripping tap. I wouldn't mind, but he flicks the water everywhere, so the mirror, surface surrounding the sink, cupboard doors, and basically all surrounding fields constantly look really dirty, as the water mixes with the clay dust on his paws from the litter tray...
Who knew such an activity could be so tiring??
