Well Spring is finally here - not that I really mind Australian winters - last Saturday the mercury reached 26 degrees! I had spent the morning working, and went to meet T at Manly. He was all salty-haired, sandy clothed from surfing, I was in a little black dress, black tights and heels. Needless to say I stuck out like a sore thumb...
We went to the cinema on Sunday. This is a pretty rare occurrence for us - we last went to watch a film in Germany, around three, possibly four, years ago. We had wanted to see something at the Orpheum theatre for a while, but when Mission Impossible III came out, there was no excuse: the plane used in the beginning, is the A400M, the plane T worked on, and the reason we lived in Spain. Seeing that was the best part of the film for me!
We had an incredible storm on Monday night. The lightning strikes were non-stop, but strangely there weren't that many rumbles of thunder. Some parts of the city had had hail stones nearly 3 cm in size!
Feeling like getting away from the city for a bit, we drove south to a small town called Berry. The drive, along the coast, was stunning and we noted many places to return to. We are always pleasantly surprised how green the countryside is. I don't know why, but we keep assuming all land will be yellow and scorched!
We are on the countdown to our trip back to England in just over a week! Albie seems to know, and is not at all impressed...
