The first month of 2016 has flown by in a blur.
Super hot January days - quite a few over 40 degrees - made us sleepy...
These were interspersed with torrential rain for days on end.
The harbour was very busy on Australia Day. We planned to watch the Tall Ships race, which I ended up missing. Last year the weather was awful, so when T and I went to view proceedings there was hardly any spectators, This year it was a very different story indeed, and parking was so bad I dropped Mum and T off and then went to find a spot to park the car...some 10 minutes later I finally found one, 3km away. By the time I would have made it back to shore, the race would have been over.
We ventured out of the city to the Hunter Valley to the North...
... and met some colourful friends in the South
We ended the month on a sunny Sunday, perfect for glimpsing the Manly ferry and the Heads.
...and having another snooze...
