Hi y'all!
So the folks had a holiday.
They say I did too, but I beg to differ. It wasn’t too bad; the bed was clean, the food was good; it was mainly a mix up to my routine, and I do like my routine.

I knew something was up on the Wednesday; R had gone frantic running up and around and in circles, so I followed her wherever she went, checking to see if she was doing anything exciting, such as playing with food or anything. Then I saw ‘The Bags’.
Last time I came face to face with ‘The Bags’, T and R left me for over two weeks!
I knew this wasn’t a good sign. I wondered who would be coming to stay to feed me – no one had come yet, which was pushing it a little late I thought. I mean, when they went away before and left me with M, I needed a couple of days to get used to him and realize he wasn't actually a monster.
R then started to clean the house like she does when 'The Bags' come out, it was all too much for me so I went to sleep and dreamt happy dreams of chasing squirrels...

I awoke to the sound of R carrying my little moving box from it's place in the bathroom into the living room. I am not sure what to make of the box to be honest. It’s always strange when I go in there, as I when I step out of it I usually find myself in totally different surroundings. I don’t mind the box itself though – any dark box like space and I’m in! I ran inside and she closed the door on me, I didn't panic though, as I like playing games like this. As I waited patiently for her to open the door I heard her speaking to T on the phone. She started off sounding happy, but then her voice changed. Oh deary. I knew that tone - it meant do not annoy her. Under any circumstances.
When she put the phone down, she opened the door of my little house, but I stayed inside; well aware she was in a stress. Better to stay inside and well out of her way when she’s in a stress. From what I gather, she thought they were leaving two hours earlier than T did, and T’s thoughts won.
A couple of hours later, calm had just restored itself once more to the house. Then R put me in the cage again, but this time we actually moved, and not just to another room - we moved outside! I could smell familiar scents as she walked; past the balcony I had become stranded on a few weeks ago, and then past a place that smelt sooo good (I must remember to go back there on my travels outside on my own. There were many people sat there being noisy though, so I will return when it is quieter...)
Finally, we turned up at a place that smelt familiar. At first I could not think what it was. It wasn't any smell from the neighbourhood, or from the house... As R put my movable house on the desk and chatted to the girl behind it, it hit me.
Uh oh.
I remember that smell all too well...
We were in the place they call 'The Vets.'
Aargh!!!
Last time I visited 'The Vets' I had a very important part of my anatomy removed. What where they going to take from me this time?!!
Whilst R was chatting away to the girl, I eyed the room suspiciously. If anyone came near my house I hissed at them. (Not R, of course - never hiss at R. I’m not stupid. And hissing at R would be very stupid.)
Then R stopped chatting and peered in the cage at me. I tried to tell her that we should go back home, but she didn't listen. Maybe she was still in a stress.
I looked R in the eye; which I could have sworn she had something in, as they were a bit watery, maybe she had been eating grease – I like to do that and then I get sore eyes, but it’s worth it. I thought R and T didn’t know where the grease was though…
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, I pleaded with R to take me home, but she left. Without me!
I watched her walk out of the door, not quite believing my eyes. I thought I had been very good the past few weeks, yet she was leaving me to get chopped again!!
So I hissed some more at the humans as I was put from my little house into another, slightly larger house. From here I could see my neighbours. Goodie! I thought, I like having friends to play with! However it turned out on closer miaow that most of them spoke French, so that was not good. But I out-noised them all with my English speaking miaow! Go Albie!!
One was very friendly until I spoke English, then it turned it's back on me, muttering something in French. It never spoke to me again. R had had that experience with a human-person, but I never thought it would happen to me, I mean, hello, I'm Albie - who wouldn't want to talk to me?!
Then the humans came with food. That was when I decided that maybe they weren’t so bad after all. And I was let outside in the room to play every day, so that was good.
The following days passed by in a hazy eating, sleeping, miaowing blur…

…until Monday morning that is, when T and R came back!!
I was so happy! I was out in the room playing when I heard them, and ran up to the glass door where they were stood the other side. I stretched to try and reach the handle, but it was no use, and they weren't doing anything to open the door. I thought for one horrid second I was imagining them, but then one of the vet humans came in and put me in my little house and the world moved, and when the door was opened, I was home!!

I had survived! And in one piece - nothing chopped off No part of me missing!
Woohoo!
I kept walking from T to R back again, so relieved to see my little slaves again. They were very pleased to see me too, but that goes without saying. I would be pleased to see me too.
T left for that thing called work, but R stayed, and I followed her around for the whole of the day, anxious not to let her out of my sight. Any time she lay or sat down I was on her, making sure she didn’t go on holiday again.

It has been over a fortnight and there has been no more talk holidays - so far so good…
