We received a delivery on Saturday:
After more than four months without our belongings, they finally arrived yesterday! The poor removal guys had to carry 37 boxes, 2 surfboards, and a bike up two flights of stairs. But they did it without any complaint - not always the case!
We had to go to customs last week to sign some forms to enable the boxes to be moved from the port in Montreal to us. Even though we had nothing dodgy in our shipment, it was still a worrying moment, and such a relief when the dude at customs stamped his clearance stamp on our inventory and gave us the necessary piece of paper to give to the removers.
So I think the next few days are going to be spent with my head in a box.
Albie is in heaven.

We can't remember exactly what we have: what we gave away, what we took to our long-suffering family members to store. Hopefully the surprises will be good...
But having no furniture, I have a feeling some of the boxes won't get unpacked for a while...there are no bookcases or surfaces to put things in or on (and we seem to have a lot of 'things'...)
Despite having a closet, there is not much storage for clothes...so it will be a case of buying chests of drawers as well...just furniture in general. Now we have an urgent need for such things, we can't put it off any longer...
