Hello! How are you all, my friends? A bit of a model pose there for you. No need to thank me. I am more than a little annoyed, let me tell you: I am more than a little annoyed.
Snow + squash (the sport, not the edible kind) is not a good combination.
Walking on snow, you tend to slide and twist your feet as you attempt to find some grip underfoot. Squash (the game, not the pumpkin), especially at my level (i.e. not the best, but getting there), twisting and turning and landing in awkward positions is the norm. Together, they have meant bad news for my knee this week. So resting it has been required. Although I hate resting - having spent the majority of my life resting due to the ME, the last thing I want to do is rest some more. I made some imitation Snickers bars, and then realized that standing may not be resting to my knee, even if baking is something I enjoy, so I had to find something else to do. Bonjour! It has been another excellent week! Well, apart from the snow - that wasn't so great if I'm to be honest. I always insist on going out side, even when the white blanket is present (got to keep up to date with what's going on), but then when I come back in I spend a good ten minutes licking my feet to get them warm dry...
No sooner had I posted the previous post, then this happened: Not only is there a lot of snow - it snowed almost continuously for 24 hours - but it was blowing snow too, which meant it drifted into some deep piles. It was certainly a great big fat full stop to my talkings of spring.
The flakes weren't big at all, this size of snowflake in England wouldn't make an impression as it would melt as soon as it reached the ground, but here it sticks. Fast. Sorry I have been pretty slack on the posting these past weeks. The virus I succumbed too took be quite a while to recover from, with the ME acting like a spoilt child and having to get in on the act too. As my brain began to work again, it was moving things which won out over posting... I am now back, however...! As Albie informed you, he helped *ahem* me in my hour of need to clean the apartment...
Hello my friends! It's your lucky day - another post from me, Albie! R has asked me to write a little post so you would know we haven't forgotten about you. She has been ill this week (due to a bug according to her, between you and me I think she has been eating from the bins as I sometimes suffer when I have been foraging in the bins, but it is such good fun it's worth the risk...). Anyway it has been fun to have her as a warm 'thing' on the sofa to curl up with!
Hiya! Yes I am in a bucket - it's a very safe place to be with all this talk of wolves and coyotes.
I suggest you try it sometime. |
