As much as the Fijian island of Taveuni was stunning, and the people were so very friendly; the other attraction which had tugged us back was the snorkelling. A two minutes walk from our bure, and we were in the crystal clear water, swimming along with the fish.
It was sad to leave Fiji, and a come down from the holiday we had been looking forward to for months. It's strange how after just a few days it was as if we had never been away.
Taronga Zoo has been on our 'to-do' list for many months, recommended to us by many locals, but something we just hadn't go around to going - whenever we thought of it it was in the school holidays or a Saturday, and we were set on making the most of a quieter weekday. With our visitors here and wanting to see a wombat, it finally made us go. During our nine months here we had slowly been introduced to the native animals. (granted - quiet a few after hours and not always welcome...) but there was one I had been desperate to see - a koala
Pop up shops. Had seen them but never gone in one before now.
Saturday, running in the torrential downpour for the bus home, T and screeched to a halt outside a flash sale pop up shop of my favourite store for business clothes. What an amazing place - safe to say when we (both!) emerged with bags, the shower had long since passed.! |
