I am attempting a new feature: all the little things that happen during the week, but aren't really worth a post to themselves, and don't fit in anywhere else.
To keep you up to date with what is happening in the world of R, T and Albie.

- The oven has been fixed! It is still a guessing game as to what the temperature will be, due to the numbers being rubbed off, but at least so far it hasn't blown up again...
- I was offered a job! I was in a deli buying some chickpea flour (as you do...) and got chatting to the guy, who on finding out I was looking for work, offered me a job there and then! Unfortunately it was in the evenings, 4-9pm, which I can't do. Still it was nice to be offered. The joys of no language barrier!
- I am not twiddling my thumbs though, and have a few projects in the pipeline. It helps to have such a beautiful office as I did on Monday morning:
- Before you get all 'Oh, shut up, don't want to know!' we were ready for some sun after a couple of weeks of rain. We ventured out for a walk last Saturday in a break in the clouds, and typically, when we were at the furthest point away from home (4.5km away, to be exact), the heavens opened. At least it isn't that cold...
- We have bought some furniture, so the apartment is looking slightly less bare! We have nothing to put in or on them yet though...
- Talking of belongings...The exciting news of the week: we have an estimated date for the arrival of our belongings into Sydney - the 17th October!!! (This will not be the date we get them, they have to go through customs and goodness knows how long that will take. In Montreal I think it was a fortnight, but this is Australia, where they fumigate if necessary. It could take a lot longer...)
