There was a tornado in Sydney this week and it wreaked havoc over the south of the city. 213km per hour winds ripped roofs off houses, left thousands without power, and there were hail stones the size of golf balls. We were lucky - escaping with just a tremendous rain storm.

On Saturday we walked along the north shore of the harbour, and T spotted some of the extreme sailing world series boats getting ready for the race, and keen to go and watch it (we had missed it last year - not finding it was on until it had happened) we hopped on a ferry and went to watch for an hour from the Botanical Gardens:
T was keen to see the last day of the event on Sunday, so we returned to the city - I did a smash and grab in the shops (so busy!) whilst he went and watched it for an hour or so, and then caught the ferry home. The ferry was slightly delayed by the departure of this cruise ship, built in London:
