So the cold continues...
I know!
It's getting SO boring!
Then at the the end of last week it rained that cold stuff, y'know - snow. 20cm of it! That amount could almost make an Albie disappear!
After the sky stopped dumping it's cold load on us, the clouds dispersed and let us have a couple of days of bright blue skies!
I got excited when I woke up and the sun came pouring in through the window, and was convinced it had warmed up outside.
I therefore spent an hour or so arguing with R and T I wanted to go out and play. When they eventually relented and opened the door, alas it was as cold as ever.
But I am brave, and after being cooped up indoors with R for days on end, I needed to get out and have a change of scenery.
Spending time outside in the cold is not without it's adventures...

You have to be careful of icicles...
...and stay active in order to keep warm...
But there is nothing you can do to make the snow warm for your feet... (I have seen some dogs wearing boots...but they look stupid - a typical dog thing to do - I am wa-a-ay to cool for that...)
The difference now is that, with the longer days, the sun does at least seem to heat up the air a little.
I do mean a very small amount, but after those January days where the bright sun didn't even raise the temperature one degree, any increase is a good thing!
It's still bitter - think minus 25 with the windchill.
The cold makes your lips go numb, and you end up pulling some funny faces...
...and you end up with ice crystals on your fur...
It's a great relief when it's time to go back inside to the warmth, and where you can place your feet on nice, dry ground.
It's even better when you discover a spot of sun in which to lie and warm up...
...I just wish I could move somewhere where it was hot all January and February...
