From Heathrow, we caught a plane to...Munich!
Some very special friends of ours had had a gorgeous daughter just twelve days previously, and we were desperate to go and see this beautiful new addition to their family. So we flew into Munich late Thursday afternoon, caught up with them Thursday evening, and then left Munich the following morning.
Despite this whirlwind visit, we were still able to sample a couple of the German delicacies we missed:

It was strange, as some things were still the same as when we lived there;
But others had changed.
Buildings which had been covered up during the whole time we lived in the city had finally been unveiled, revealing their shiny new facade in all its glory.

Time to leave The Bavarian Capital came around far too soon, and before we knew it we were flying back to England.
From Heathrow airport, we caught another flight.
Yup, you guessed it, this plane wasn't going to Montreal either...
